Are you on vacation in South Finistère and looking for an unmissable activity to do alone or with your family?! We suggest you go on an adventure on foot or by bike on regional greenway 7 linking the Atlantic to the English Channel, a superb 147 km route specially designed for nature and cycling lovers.

For walks as close as possible to Breton nature, take the greenway from the town center of Concarneau, just a few kilometers from the Le Kervastard campsite in Fouesnant!

Route 7 Brittany linking Concarneau to Roscoff

Lane 7 Brittany is a huge route crossing Brittany and linking the Atlantic to the English Channel, from Concarneau to Roscoff, for a total of 147 km. It is part of a large network of greenways recently established with the aim of protect the environment and promote the heritage of the regions of France.

The greenways are specially reserved for non-motorized travel such as pedestrians and bicycles, which makes the activity ideal for a family outing to discover the Breton region.

Completely secure, track 7 Bretagne is built on a former railway line. It is marked to ensure travel between north and south in both directions. It covers a route from Concarneau to Roscoff via Rosporden, Gourin, Carhaix-Plouguer, Scrignac and Morlaix.

20 minutes from the 3-star campsite Le Kervastard, discover the natural landscapes of the surrounding countryside of Concarneau and its bay by taking the greenway to Rosporden!

If the 147 km of route 7 Brittany scare you, opt for the 15 km which separate Concarneau from its next stage, Rosporden. A lovely route of one hour to 1 hour 30 minutes in the countryside, well shaded and very pleasant. You still need to be experienced with bicycles to overcome the climbs and descents along the way.

The section of the Carhaix-Concarneau greenway was built on a railway line which operated from 1896 to 1967. The Finistère Departmental Council acquired it from the SNCF in 1985. Work was undertaken at the same time, but we had to wait until 2009 to have a greenway worthy of the name.
